Our Business Background
You will be dealing with someone who has worked continuously in the field of valuing and auctioning since 1977 – well over 25 years.
From 1977 to 1984, Wayne worked with H .E. Wells & Sons Auctioneers and Valuers, gaining his auction license in 1979.
Gregson’s Auctioneers Pty Ltd approached Wayne in 1985 to join them as an auctioneer and valuer and during this time, between 1985 and 1996, he specialised in the field of antiques and collector’s items in addition to general home contents. Wayne was appointed General Manager to Gregsons in 1994.
In 1996 Wayne established his own business, Wayne Gardiner & Associates, Valuers and Consulting Auctioneers.
The emphasis is on valuing for –
- Insurance
- Family Law (matrimonial property settlements)
- Estates (Probate)
- Selling
Wayne has a Certificate in Business (Specialising in Valuations) through the Australian Institute of Management.
He also holds a Certificate in Museum Studies through Edith Cowan University.
Since 1995 he has been an Approved Australian Commonwealth Government Valuer for the Cultural Gifts Program (in the field of Militaria).
He was president of the Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Western Australia from 1995 to 1998.
Has been a member of the Australian Customs Service Antique Authentication panel since 1999.
Since 1996 Wayne has had an Antiques and Collectables talkback radio program on 6PR, more recently with Graham Mabury’s Night Line show.
Member of the Auictioneer's & Valuers Association of Australia.
